PhD position in mmWave-based human centric sensing

The Wireless System Research Group (WiSeR) (https://wiser.cas.mcmaster.ca) at the McMaster University, Canada is a top tier research lab conducting cutting-edge research in mobile computing led by Dr. Rong Zheng (http://www.cas.mcmaster.ca/~rzheng/). Over the past 10 years, our lab has published extensively in top tier conferences and journals, and has secured over $5,500,000 (CAD) federal and provincial research funding. We currently have one PhD opening in mmWave-based human-centric sensing:

Qualification:

  1. MS degrees* from Electrical and Computer Engineering or related fields from top 200 universities (Times High Education)
  2. Research experience in signal processing, electromagnetic wave propagation and array processing
  3. Strong mathematical background
  4. Good communication and writing skills in English
  5. Experiences in Python, machine learning and embedded programming are a plus.
