Awny M. El-Mohandes received his Ph.D. degree from Dept. of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, and earned his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mansoura University, Egypt. He was a research assistant at Dept. of Computing and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan in 2017. He is now a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Dept. of Computing and Software at McMaster University, Canada. His current research interests are ASIC design and implementation issues, Digital system and circuits design, Analog electronics, RF and TENG energy harvesting systems, self-powered wearable sensors, AI for mobile computing, and wireless transceivers.
